Jacomij Group: a company on the move
Jacomij Group was established by Kees Monas in 1969. Theo van den Heuvel joined the company shortly thereafter. In 1988, the company moved from Amsterdam to Wijk bij Duurstede. In the same year, Monas left the company, and Theo van den Heuvel became its director.
In its 40-year existence, and against the backdrop of a large number of international political and economic shifts, Jacomij experienced an enormous growth. The company specialised in the recycling of nonferrous (precious) metals, catalysts and electronics, obtained all the required certificates and permits and established excellent contacts with the industry and market both in and outside of Europe. Today, Jacomij is known all as a leading recycling expert all over the world.
